Catherine Crews
Catherine Crews (Buell) is a Managing Director and Co-Heads the RBC Municipal Underwriting Desk. She is a member of the firm’s US Global Markets Leadership Team as well as the Municipal Finance Operating Committee. She joined RBC in 2022 from Bank of America where she had 20 years of public finance and underwriting experience.
Catherine focuses on elevating the firm’s municipal new-issue platform and driving market share while partnering with municipal finance to deliver strong execution results across a diverse universe of municipal issuers. Catherine has underwritten over $200B in senior managed deals covering a wide range of credit types and structures, $50B of which were Healthcare issues. She started her career as an investment banking analyst in the Merrill Lynch Healthcare group which is where her interest in healthcare finance was piqued. Catherine is also a member of the Society of Municipal Analysts.
Catherine graduated Magna Cum Laude from Bucknell University where she was a Captain of the Women’s Varsity Golf Team. She has been a tireless champion for Memorial Sloan Kettering’s Pediatric Cancer Fundraising initiatives. Catherine captains a Cycle for Survival team which is the only team in Cycle for Survival’s 18-year history to raise $1mm in a single season and her team did it twice! She is active within her local community and is on the Board of Trustees at Canoe Brook Country Club. With all her free time, Catherine coaches 3rd and 4th grade girls lacrosse, softball and basketball. She lives in Chatham NJ with her husband and has 2 daughters of which she couldn’t be prouder.
