Julie Morrone
Julie Morrone is a partner and principal at Rosemawr Management, an alternative investment manager focused on the US municipal, not-for-profit and sustainable infrastructure markets. She joined the firm at its founding in 2008 and serves as the director of credit research and member of the investment team.
Prior to joining Rosemawr, Julie spent over 20 years focused on high yield investing and credit analysis. At Morgan Stanley Investment Management, she was a high yield credit analyst, problem loan workout specialist, and co-manager of high yield municipal funds. She later served as the discretionary municipal separate account manager for Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management’s ultra-high net worth clients. She began her career as a sell-side desk analyst at Bear Stearns & Co. supporting sales and trading. She later moved to Lehman Brothers in a similar capacity. She was also the director of remediation for a municipal bond insurer.
Julie is an active member of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts, the Municipal Analysts Group of New York and the Northeast Women in Public Finance. She is the recipient of the 2017 Freda Johnson Private Sector Award honoring trailblazing women in public finance.
Ms. Morrone is the author of the “High Yield Bonds” chapter in the Handbook of Municipal Bonds and Public Finance. She graduated cum laude with a B.S. in finance from New York University and earned an M.B.A in accounting from NYU’s Stern School of Business.
