Mary Hinojosa Kelly

Mary Hinojosa Kelly is a Managing Director at TRB Capital Markets, a division of Texas Regional Bank, where she leads the firm’s Houston public finance team. She serves as lead banker on municipal bond underwriting transactions for issuers across Texas, helping public entities access capital to fund critical infrastructure, education, and community projects. 

Since 2020, Mary and her team have underwritten financings for numerous issuers throughout Texas, including school districts, cities, and counties. Under her leadership, the firm served as senior underwriter on a Harris County financing that represented the largest senior-managed underwriting transaction in the firm’s history. In recognition of her leadership and contributions to the municipal finance industry, Mary was named one of The Bond Buyer’s Rising Stars as a member of the 2022 class. A Houston resident since 2015, she is proud to serve the communities that have become her home and is actively involved in civic organizations including service on the Board of Directors for the Buffalo Bayou Partnership. 

Fluent in Spanish, she earned dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Spanish from Pepperdine University.
