Frances Lewis

Frances Lewis is a Senior Managing Director and Director of Research for MacKay Municipal Managers at MacKay Shields.  Frances is also a senior credit analyst for the MacKay Municipal Managers' team, focusing on various high profile general obligation credits, as well as Infrastructure and Transportation sectors such as airports, toll roads and high yield P3 projects.  Frances is a member of the MacKay Shields Responsible Investing team focusing on integrating ESG strategies in the municipal bond market.  Frances joined MacKay Shields in July 2009. Before joining the firm she was Director of Research for Mariner Municipal Managers and was previously at Merrill Lynch. Frances began her municipal analyst career in 1991 at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers where she was a Senior Fund Analyst covering various sectors of the municipal market, becoming a Director in the Municipal Research Group. Frances earned an MBA in Finance from Boston University and a BS in Economics from the University of Michigan.
