Nicole Martin- Senior Director at S&P Global Infrastructure Ratings
Nicole Martin is a Senior Director at S&P Global Ratings based in Toronto, where she is part of Global Infrastructure Ratings. Her role as a senior analyst and sector expert includes outreach and chairing complex credit committees. She is also involved in the firm’s environmental initiatives.
Nicole’s 14 years of experience at S&P Global Ratings includes many years as primary analyst for Canadian utilities, pipelines, and power. Prior to her current role, she managed the Commodities team in Toronto. Nicole recently returned from a brief rotation in S&P Global’s London office where she worked with several new European issuers.
Prior to joining S&P Global Ratings, Nicole acquired a thorough understanding of the Canadian utility sector electricity market restructuring and environmental planning. She held a variety of roles that included operations, financial, and strategic planning positions at a major Canadian integrated utility and at a large transmission company. Nicole also provided consultative services to utilities in Hungary, Thailand, and Korea on environmental dispatch of electricity generation.
Nicole received her Bachelor of Applied Science degree from the University of Toronto and her Masters of Engineering degree from McMaster University. She is a registered professional engineer in the Province of Ontario.
